Remanufacturing
Remanufacturing within the lighting industry is an emerging and important part of the circular economy. It includes:
– Saving Energy
– Reducing Costs
– Reducing Land Fill Waste
– Reducing Carbon Footprints
– Prolonging Product Lifespan

What is Remanufacturing?
Remanufacturing is the process of restoring existing used products to their original condition with upgrades and improvements. Unlike recycling, which simply turns used products into raw materials for new products, remanufacturing focuses on rejuvenating used products to extend their lifespan, retaining the original look.
A Remanufacturing Case Study
A Health Care Authority contacted us regarding replacing Anti-Ligature fittings within their facility. The original units were recessed within an ant-tamper ceiling and contained 4ft fluorescent tubes. We suggested reusing the existing fittings, replacing the control gear, lamp holders and upgrading to a new triple chip LED board, new non-dimmable driver and wiring. The main advantages of this option are;
– No fitting issues
– No alterations / redecoration to the specialist ceiling
– No recycling costs
– No making good of decor
